Cookie Policy
Effective date: April 19, 2026
This Cookie Policy describes how Qmodi Inc. (“Qmodi,” “PreTrip,” “we”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the PreTrip websites at pretrip.net and admin.pretrip.net. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognize your device on subsequent visits, keep you signed in, and function securely. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and server-set session identifiers.
2. Cookies we use
PreTrip uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, cross-site tracking, or fingerprinting. The table below lists every cookie PreTrip sets or permits on its own websites.
2.1 Authentication and session
sb-<project>-auth-token(set by Supabase Auth). Stores your signed-in session so you don’t have to re-enter a one-time passcode on every page. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Expires when your session ends (typically 1 hour of inactivity, with automatic refresh for up to 30 days).sb-<project>-auth-token-code-verifier(set by Supabase Auth, only during the OTP login flow). Holds the PKCE code verifier for the duration of the login exchange, then is cleared. HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax.
2.2 Security and functionality
__vercel_live_token,_vercel_jwt(set by Vercel, only for preview deployments and staff access). Used to gate protected previews. Not set for ordinary visitors to the production site.
Because all cookies listed above are strictly necessary to deliver the sign-in experience you explicitly request, consent is not required under the ePrivacy Directive or the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended).
3. Cookies we do NOT use
- We do not set or permit third-party advertising cookies.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar cross-site analytics tools.
- We do not sell or share personal information via cookies for behavioral advertising.
- We do not use device fingerprinting to identify you across sites.
4. Local storage
The PreTrip web app may store small amounts of non-sensitive UI state in your browser’s localStorage (for example, remembering your dashboard sidebar state or a draft checklist). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to advertising networks.
5. How to control cookies
- Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in to PreTrip.
- Do Not Track. We honor browsers configured with a Do Not Track signal by continuing to not run advertising or analytics cookies — there is nothing additional to disable.
- Sign out. Signing out clears the Supabase session cookie.
6. Mobile applications
The PreTrip mobile apps for Android and iOS do not use browser cookies. They store an authentication token securely on the device (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain) and a push-notification token, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to this policy
If we add new cookies or change how existing cookies are used, we will update this page and revise the “Effective date” above. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
